Mode of Action
It is thought to act as an antioxi- dant as well as being a cofactor in some enzyme systems. It protects polyunsaturated fatty acids, in conjunction with dietary selenium, in A membranes and other cellular structures from attack by free radicals. It also protects red blood cells against haemolysis.
Sensitivity to vitamin E
Mostly at high doses. Blurred vision; dizziness; headache; diarrhea; nausea; stomach cramps; unusual tiredness or weakness.
