HB to be monitored every 2 wks until stabilized, then every 2-4wks; dose adjustments must not be made more frequently than once a month; the IV route of administration may reduce the risk for development of antibodies to the drug in comparison to SC.
Anemia due to cancer chemotherapy; hypersensitivity to the drug
Hypertension; diarrhea; nasopharyngitis; headache; URTI; coronary artery disease; septic shock; increased mortality; pure red cell aplasia; serious cardiovascular and thromboembolic events.
