ACE inhibitor / calcium Chanel blocker
The fixed-dose combination is not suitable for initial therapy; assessments of renal function before and during treatment and adjustment of the dose in accordance with the creatinine clearance; heart failure.
Absolute Contraindications include:known allergy to perindopril or to any other ACE inhibitor; history of angioedemaassociated with previous ACE inhibitor therapy; hereditary or idiopathic angioedema, pregnancy; lactation; severe hypotension; hypersensitivity to amlodipine or to any other dihydropyridines; shock including cardiogenic shock; obstruction of the outflow tract of the left ventricle [high-grade aortic stenosis]; unstable angina pectoris; heart failure after acute myocardial infarction during the first 28 days. Relative contraindications include: combination therapy with lithium, potassium salts, potassium-sparing diuretics and certain medicines that cause heart rhythm disorders, estramustine.
Asthenia, dizziness, headache, mood swings and/or sleep disturbance, cramps, hypotension, allergic reaction, skin rashes, gastrointes- tinal disorders, dry cough, dry mouth, risk of dehydration in the elderly and in patients suffering from heart failure, blood test abnormalities.J
