Ampoule 1: Thiamine, 250 mg, Riboflavin, 4 mg, Pyridoxine 50 mg. Ampoule 2: Vit C 500mg, Nicotinamide160mg, Glucose1000mg per 5mL
Indications
Severe deficiency of the water-soluble vitamins B and C e.g. in acute infections, alcoholism, and psychiatrist cases. Chronic intermittent hemodialysis where it is used to maintain the appropriate levels of vitamins B and C.
Dose/Application
For severe deficiency of the water-soluble vitamins B and C: The three 5mL ampoule 1 and equal number of ampoule 2 are diluted with 50-100mL normal saline or glucose 5% three times per day (infusion is done over half an hour). For haemodialysis, toxicity from acute infections, psychiatrist cases: The two 5mL ampoules are diluted with 50-100mL normal saline or glucose 5% BD for up to 1/52 (infusion is done over half an hour).
