Erythematosus; nephrotic syndrome management of other immunologic diseases including myasthenia gravis, pemphigoid and pemphigus; systemic dermatomyositis, glomerulonephritis, chronic active hepatitis among others.
Prophylaxis of organ transplant rejection: Oral / parenteral dose - Initially 3-5 mg / kg or 120 mg / M2 /day, 1-3 days before surgery. The dose is adjusted accordingly to maintain the graft without causing toxicity. Maintenance dose: 1- 3 mg / kg. Rheumatoid arthritis and other immuno- logic conditions: Initially 1 mg / kg / day and then increased by 0.5 mg / kg / day after 6-8 wks. The dose is then increased every 4wks up to a maximum of 2.5 mg / kg / day.
