Thrombolytic treatment of suspected myocardial infarction with persistent ST elevation or recent left bundle branch block within 12 hours after the onset of a myocardial infarction symptoms.
10U bolus dose followed by a second 10U bolus dose 30 minutes later (double bolus). Each bolus is administered as a slow intravenous injection within 2 minutes. Heparin and acetylsalicylic acid should be administered before and following its administration to reduce the risk of rethrombosis.

Mode of Action
It is a recombinant plasminogen activator that catalyzes the cleavage of endoge- nous plasminogen to generate plasmin. Plasmin in turn degrades fibrin, which is the main compo- nent of the matrix of thrombi, thereby exerting its thrombolytic action.
Patients to be carefully evaluated before treatment.
Conditions that can be wors- ened by bleeding; hypersensitivity to the product
Haemorrhage; cardiovascular events such as recurrent ischaemia/angina, hypotension, heart failure/pulmonary oedema, arrhythmias; mitral regurgitation.
