Prevention of chemotherapy induced neutropenia in bone marrow transplantation and severe chronic neutropenia. It generally reduces the incidence of infection.
IV, 250mcg/m²/day over a four-hour period from the 4th day after induction of chemotherapy or when bone marrow has less than 5% blasts. In case of a need of a second cycle of induction chemotherapy, the drug should be administered approximately four days after the completion of chemotherapy if the bone marrow is hypoplastic. This dose is continued until Absolute Neutrophil Count is more than 1500 cells/mm³ for 3 consecutive days or a maximum of 42 days.
